seafood, we have developed a marketing chain that benefits not only our members but also the end consumer.<br \/><br \/>ArtesanalPesca makes a difference in two key areas \u2013 the way the fish is caught (artisanal fishing) and the way it is marketed (fair trade). ArtesanalPesca markets directly the catch from its affiliated vessels. The union and centralization of catches allow for market positioning, scale, and protection of vessel owners and fishermen, which would otherwise be difficult to achieve. This eliminates intermediaries, making the supply chain shorter and consequently fairer, which also benefits the consumer.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, ArtesanalPesca employs over 80 staff in direct jobs and represents about 400 fishermen on associated vessels. This number increases significantly when considering their families and related activities. In a town like Sesimbra, these figures have a decisive impact on the development of the local economy.<br \/><br \/>The implementation of our strategy has represented a revolution in the national fishing sector, enabling a fairer and more sustainable way of marketing the catch of our members. Buying fish from ArtesanalPesca is equivalent to buying directly from the fisherman, ensuring the highest levels of freshness and quality.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
